The Ellen Show（邦題：エレンの部屋）はアメリカの有名なテレビ番組です。司会はEllen DeGeneres（エレン・デジェネレス）で、映画俳優やアーティストなどを招いて話を聞いたり、ミニコーナーがあったりします。
今回は日本のテレビ番組が紹介されていたのでその動画を紹介します！
Hey, how many of you– just a quick question.
How many of you have seen my new game show, Game of Games?
I’m glad I like it.
I have fun doing it.
I love pushing a button and making people fall down.
We’re already working on season two.
It’s going to be bigger, better, messier.
So if you can find any whipped cream at Costco, it’s because of me.
So what we do–
I do a lot of research because now I’m a game show host.
So I like to keep up with all the game shows from around the world, not just here.
I don’t know if you’ve seen the game shows in Japan.
Have you ever seen the Japanese game shows?
They’re wild, aren’t they?
They make Ellen’s Game of Games look tame.
But anyway, they get away with a lot of–
I don’t know how they do it.
I think it’s because they don’t have, um, what’s the word?
Lawyers.
So I want to show you some interesting Japanese game shows that I found.
These are real.
These are all game shows on the air.
This one is called Candy or Not Candy?
And this is where contestants have to stick random things in their mouth
and they have to guess if it’s made out of candy or not candy.
[VTR]
Yeah.
Unfortunately the show was canceled when someone tried to taste a light socket.
So if you think biting into a shoe is bad,
this next game is probably not for you.
This one is called RK Bingo, and it involves two contestants,
a tube, and a cockroach.
You heard me.

Oh my god. Oh my god.
It’s hard to believe that the country that brought us
robots, laptops, and high-speed trains brought us that as well.
Here’s another interesting game.

I don’t know what was going on there.
I thought if I showed it to you, maybe you could tell me.
And finally, here’s a game show where
contestants use clothes pins, but not
the way they’re intended.

Really the only way to win that game is not to play.
I’ve actually heard people say that sometimes my show is
like a Japanese game show.
And I can see why.
